European Association of Qualified Entities (EAQE)
The European Association of Qualified Entities, abbreviated ‘EAQE’ was formed in 2015. The Headquarters is located in the municipality of Utrecht in the Netherlands
Our Goal
The goal of the association is: to promote the many benefits and opportunities that Qualified Entities offer to Aviation Regulatory bodies, and as specified in EU Regulation 2018/1139 (EU/EASA Basic Regulation)
What We Do
EAQE acts on behalf of, and represents Qualified entities in discussions with the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) and National Aviation Authorities (NAAs) of Europe.
EAQE also acts as consultative partner with regard to the regulatory framework for aviation in the European Union.
EAQE liaises with the European Commission (EC) and its agencies, such as EASA, to promote the interests of the Qualified Entities certified by the EASA and the NAAs in the European Aviation System.

Our History
EAQE was established in 2015 by Professor Jules Kneepkens, former Rulemaking Director at EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency), and Ray Elgy, former Head of Licensing and Training Standards at the UK CAA.
